Dunkirk man connected to recent burglaries
During a joint investigation into recent burglaries conducted by the Dunkirk and Fredonia Police departments, property reported stolen in a Fredonia burglary investigation was found at a city residence.
Merritt D. Wolcott, 21, of Townsend Street was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property on Feb. 20. Wolcott was previously charged by Fredonia Police with second-degree burglary and grand larceny following a burglary that happened in January. He was arraigned before City Court Judge Walter Drag and held on $1,500 cash and $3,000 property bail.

Robert R. Kulpa, 20, of South Jerboa Street was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Feb. 17.
Sonia M. Buchanan, 43, of West Second Street was charged with having no inspection, having a suspended registration, having no insurance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Feb. 18.
Velmon J. Boyd, 45, of Westfield was charged with failure to keep right and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Feb. 19.
Patrick P. Phillips, 31, of Canary Street was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding on Feb. 19.
