RESTVILLE - Led by Sydney Youngberg's 35 points, the No. 8 Forestville Lady Hornets (8-11) defeated the No. 9 North Collins Lady Eagles (3-16), 51-17, in the prequarterfinals of the Section 6 Class D girls high school basketball playoffs Thursday.
Youngberg recorded all of her scoring in the first three quarters and finished one point shy of the school record. She also tallied eight rebounds and three blocks in the win.
"She did her job," Forestville coach Sierra Finch said. "We got her the ball inside. She had a big mismatch most of the time."

Forestville’s Sydney Youngberg goes up for two of her game-high 35 points Thursday during the Lady Hornets’ 51-17 win over North Collins in Section 6 Class D girls’ basketball quarterfinal action.
The Lady Hornets opened up a 14-2 advantage after the first quarter and never looked back, holding the Lady Eagles to six second-half points.
"We had a bunch of girls who had mismatches inside," Finch said. "It was easier for us to get an offensive rebound or a lay-up."
Ryanne Dugan added five assists in a victorious effort while Jessica Makuch (two points) and Alisha Szumigala (four points) had seven rebounds each.
For North Collins, Christine Blidy led the team with seven points and seven rebounds while Emily Swiatkowski added four points.
Next up for Forestville is a trip to Clymer to play the top-seeded Lady Pirates Saturday at 2 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the two teams this season.
