For residents of some area villages, there is an election in the coming weeks.
Up first is the village of Fredonia. Four candidates are vying for two seats this year and the public has a chance to meet them Wednesday. The candidates include Susan Forrester-Mackay, Phyllis Jones, Mary Jane Starks and Michael Vinciguerra. Vinciguerra, however, will not be in attendance due to prior commitments.
Sponsored by the League of Women Voters, the event at Fredonia Opera House offers village residents a chance to hear the major issues and offers an opportunity to ask questions.
The event takes place at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
