An unidentified man was struck and killed by a train early Saturday morning in Dunkirk.
According to Dunkirk Police, officers responded to a report of a subject struck by a train near Pike Street. Preliminary investigation revealed that a male was struck and killed by a westbound CSX train near Woodrow Avenue.
The investigation is ongoing pending positive identification of the victim and notification of family.
The Dunkirk Police were assisted by Dunkirk Fire, CSX Investigators and the Chautauqua County Coroner's Office.
