JAMESTOWN - An updated articulation agreement will ease the transfer of Jamestown Community College graduates into the State University of New York at Brockport's physical education teacher education degree programs.
Students who graduate with an associate's degree from JCC, and who are accepted by SUNY Brockport, are guaranteed junior standing and the transfer of at least 60, and up to 64, credit hours.
Students who complete specified courses as part of their associate's degree can normally complete the bachelor's degree in five semesters, including a semester of student teaching.
SUNY Brockport, established in 1835, has an undergraduate population of about 7,200 students. The college offers 49 undergraduate majors, 47 master's degree programs, and teacher certification in 24 areas.
