HAMBURG - Students in Immaculata Academy's Franciscan Club recently donated over four large bags of clothing, shoes and coats to St. Luke's Mission of Mercy in Buffalo. Part of St. Luke's ministry is to provide clothing to those in need through their "St. Luke's Mall" where people can come in and receive clothing absolutely free. Members of the club had lent a helping hand at St. Luke's earlier in the school year, when they had service-oriented class retreats there, and decided that they could continue to help.
Franciscan Club moderator and theology teacher, Deacon Robb Ciezki, was moved by the students' passion.
"It never ceases to amaze me just how giving the students here at Immaculata Academy are. They saw a need in our community and not only did they recognize it, they acted promptly and with a loving heart," he said.

The clothing drive ran from mid-November through the end of January.
