Lake Shore Savings Bank, a subsidiary of Dunkirk, NY-based Lake Shore Bancorp, Inc., today officially opened its newest full-service branch, at 4950 Main Street in Snyder, NY, with a grand opening celebration. The Snyder branch becomes Lake Shore's sixth location in Erie County and its 11th branch overall.
Lake Shore Savings acquired the site in November 2012; it had been owned by First Niagara Bank and was formerly the site of a Greater Buffalo Savings Bank. The Snyder branch will employ six; three are new hires.
"In keeping with our theme of 'Growing to be your Bank!' we continue to expand our branch network, particularly in Erie County," said Daniel P. Reininga, Lake Shore President/CEO. "We are excited to open our first branch in the Town of Amherst in Snyder and we look forward to serving the financial needs of nearby residents and businesses."
