Thruway accident

April 17, 2013
The OBSERVER

A tractor-trailer went off the Thruway in Portland near mile marker 477 between the Westfield (Exit 60) and Dunkirk-Fredonia (Exit 59) at about 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Carl Moore, 41, of Michigan was the operator of the vehicle which was traveling east. He ran off the right lane and came to rest in a ditch. The driver reportedly suffered minor injuries. A state trooper from Troop T barracks in Dunkirk answered the call. The spokesperson at Troop T was not the investigating officer and was unsure what tickets had been issued.
