MAYVILLE - Four men have been arrested in Elmira following the homicides of two Carroll residents. Charges are pending at this time.
Gordon Skinner, 66, and Joyce Skinner, 59, of 232 Wheeler Hill Road were found dead Wednesday morning. On Thursday, Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace called the crime scene "one of the most disturbing incidents I have had to deal with."
Davide Coggins, 34, Ricky L. Knickerbocker, 18, Joshua A. McCormick, 21, and Steven W. Todd, 18, were all taken to Chautauqua County Jail and are awaiting arraignment, which could be in Chautauqua County Court or Town of Carroll Court.
Gerace confirmed that a firearm wasn't used and said that a preliminary report from the 8 a.m. autopsies was not yet available.
The sheriff confirmed that police found a 2003 tan-colored Pontiac Grand Am in connection with the case, but are still asking anyone in the public who may have seen the car on Tuesday or Wednesday to contact their local police department.
