Donald Clarence Maloney, 82, of Ruckh Hill Road, South Dayton, formerly of Kennedy passed away Wednesday (April 17, 2013) in his home.
A lifelong area resident, he was born April 11, 1931 in the Town of Poland, NY, the oldest son of the late Clarence and Eleanor Huckelbery Maloney.
Don attended Falconer High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1952 to 1953 in Korea. He was employed by the Chautauqua County Highway Department for 47 years retiring in 1992. While employed for the county Don was one of the founders of the Chautauqua County Credit Union and served as president and regional director for the CSEA.

He was a member of the Randolph Post 181, American Legion, John W. Tiffany Post 53, VFW, Jamestown Loyal Order of Moose, Ellington Rod & Gun Club and former member of the Cardinal Hills Country Club. Don enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling to Ire-land and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Buffalo Bills fan and also enjoyed watching baseball.
Surviving are his wife S. Ann Seager Maloney whom he married November 28, 2009 in the Town of Leon, his son Vance (Tammi) Maloney of Upland, IN; four grandchildren: Brendan Maloney of Fishers, IN, Erin (Tyler) Andrews of Wauseon, OH, Ryan Maloney and Nicholas Maloney both of Upland, IN; a foster daughter Dhurata Kola Embry (Tim Embry) of Ft. Wayne, IN; six great grandchildren: Jaclyn, Julien and Jesse Embry, Jack, Mia Jo and Molly Andrews; two step children: Bridget (Joe) Kashmer of South Dayton, Brenda Seager (Shawn Jacoba) of Indianapolis, IN; four step grandchildren: Joshua and Dalton Kashmer, Charlie and Cooper Jacoba; four brothers: Jerry Maloney of Kennedy, Clark (Marilyn) Maloney of Corning, NY, Rue (Georgia) Maloney of Falconer, Gene (Sally) Maloney of Mathews, SC; two sister-in-laws: Michiko Maloney of Raleigh, SC and Rosann LeBaron of Ken-nedy.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret J. "Peg" Anderson Maloney whom he married July 4, 1953, who died March 9, 2003; two brothers: Richard and Rodney Maloney; two sister-in-laws: Diane and Alma Maloney and his step mother Wilma Maloney.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23 in the Falconer Funeral Home. Pastor Tyler Andrews of Crossroads Evangelical Church, Wauseon, Ohio will officiate. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the funeral service Tuesday in the funeral home.
