The Fredonia Cable Access Committee recently welcomed three new board members: Susan MacKay (village board liaison), Casey Twitchell, and Michelle Twitchell.
The new board members will help the committee oversee and develop programming ideas for Fredonia Time Warner channels 5 and 17.
During its April meeting, the newly-expanded committee met with Village Attorney Sam Drayo to finalize the language for the new Cable Access contract, which expires at the end of April.
The board also discussed upcoming programming and a new show, "Digest," which is produced at SUNY Fredonia by Professor Mark Kiyak's Television Studio Production class. "Digest" is aired on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. and features in-depth interviews with people working on interesting community projects and initiatives.
The board began planning for the upcoming Fredonia High School graduation in June, the Fredonia Farm Festival in August, and Red White and Blues events in September.
Residents interested in becoming committee members or submitting information for the Community Bulletin Board should contact the board at email@example.com.
The next Fredonia Cable Access meeting is scheduled for May 9 at 7 p.m. in the community room in the basement of the Fredonia Village Hall.
