Lynn R. "Bully" Bull Sr., age 75, of Fredonia, N.Y., died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the Chautauqua County Home with his loving family at his side.
Mr. Bull was born at the family home in the Town of Pomfret July 18, 1937 to the late Ray A. Bull and Arlie Cave Bull.
He attended school at Pomfret School # 16. He was a member of the National Guard from 1953 to 1957.
On November 9, 1957, he married the former Shirley MacCubbin. The couple was married 55 years at the time of Lynn's death.
Mr. Bull retired from AL-Tech and the LoGuidice Center (BOCES), working over 30 years at each.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and especially his grandchildren. Mr. Bull was an avid outdoorsman, who took great pride in his gardening. He had a great love and affection for his John Deere tractor. Lynn was a Lifetime Member of the Fredonia Beaver Club.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley MacCubbin Bull; his children, Sharon Stevens of Salamanca, N.Y., Dee Dee (Kevin) Deering of Fredonia, N.Y., Janice (Dan) Bull of Portland, N.Y. and Lynn (Rebecca) Bull Jr. of Bemus Point, N.Y.; his grandchildren, Brad Stevens, Christina (Carl) Olson, Angela Leone, Nicole Deering, Alicia Deering, Brett Kolassa, Paul Velzy, Ty, Jevon and Brenden Uhlig; also survived by great grandchildren, Carson and Camryn Olson; a brother, Melvin Bull of Marshville, N.C.; and sister, Maxine Gens of Fredonia.
Besides his parents, Mr. Bull was preceded in death by a brother, Sheldon Bull; twin siblings Merle and Marilyn Bull; an infant brother and a grandson, Tommy Leone, who died September 15, 2009.
Friends and family may call Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, N.Y. where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 am. Flowers gratefully declined. Interment will be in the Webster Road Cemetery.
