Herbert Howard Lamb, 89, former mayor of Greer's Ferry, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, after a short illness.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps in the China-Burma-India Campaign. He resided in Memphis, Tennessee as a corporate pilot. He retired in 1982 and he and Carol moved to Greer's Ferry to live out their retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife Caroline, who passed away in 2009; one brother, Arthur (Bea) Lamb and one sister, Luella (Bob) Briggs, as well as his parents. He is survived by his sister Wanda (Al) Poweski in Dunkirk, New York and one son, Dennis Lamb, who resides in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.
