Williams runs PR during
NCAA 110-meter hurdles
LA CROSSE, Wis. - Fredonia State freshman Eric Williams improved his 110-meter hurdles time by one-tenth of a second Friday while competing in preliminaries at the NCAA Division III championship meet.
Williams, the lone Blue Devil at the national meet, was clocked in 14.62 seconds, the 13th fastest time in the field. The top nine men advanced to finals Saturday.
Williams's previous-fastest time was 14.73 seconds set earlier this month while winning the SUNYAC championship. His new time is the second-fastest PR in Fredonia State men's track and field history. Keith Norward holds the school record of 14.16 seconds set in May 1985.
