Michael W. "Mike" Mihalic, age 58, of East Main Road, Fredonia, NY, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home.
Born May 29, 1954 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Francis and Joan (Lynch) Mihalic.
Mike was a 1972 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 1976 alumnus of St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. He obtained a Master's Degree from La Roche College in Pittsburgh.
Mike worked for more than 30 years in the food business as a Quality Control Manager, and held positions at Welch's, Nabisco, Rich Products, and Sensient Flavors. He was an avid football fan who loved both the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a Section VI high school football referee for many years. Mike also loved music, and enjoyed attending summer music festivals around the Western New York area.
Survivors include his daughter, Caitlin (Mihalic) Wallenhorst of Buffalo, NY; and a stepson, Tyler Mihalic of Ewa Beach, HI; a sister, Suzanne (Mihalic) Paone of Murrysville, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Jane (Mihalic) Ta-choir.
