HANOVER - A fire at the Angell Road Trailer Park in Hanover Center was quickly extinguished, according the to acting chief on the scene J. Cyris Parke.
Firefighters were called to the fire around 2 p.m. Parke said the fire started underneath the trailer and they were able to put it out before it spread further.
Parke said no one was living there at the time, but belongings were being stored in the trailer. The Red Cross was called to assist the family.
Parke said it took less than two hours before returning to the station. He said the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team found the cause of the fire to be electrical in nature.
Parke said the trailer suffered some smoke and water damage and damage to the ducts and wiring underneath. Also assisting Hanover Center Fire Department on the scene were Silver Creek, Sunset Bay, Irving and Forestville fire departments.

SUNSET BAY - Yarimar M. Cruz, 20, of Buffalo was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to stop at a stop sign Sunday. At 7:09 p.m. deputies observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign in Sunset Bay. The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Cruz, was found to be intoxicated. She was taken into custody and provided a chemical test to determined her blood alcohol content. She was released with an appearance ticket for Hanover Town Court.
SUNSET BAY - Christopher M. Capone, 18, of Buffalo was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol on May 31. At 2 p.m. deputies were on foot patrol at the town of Hanover beach in Sunset Bay when they observed Capone with an open container. He was released on an appearance ticket for Hanover Town Court.
SUNSET BAY - Shane R. Oliver, 25, of Lockport was charged with having an open container on May 31. At 2:35 p.m. deputies were on patrol on Alleghany Road in Sunset Bay when they observed Oliver with an open container in a parking area. He was released on an appearance ticket for Hanover Town Court.
HANOVER - Ronald Viscuso, 49, of Silver Creek was charged with second-degree menacing on May 31. At 8 p.m. Viscuso allegedly threatened to harm two individuals with a metal pipe on Alleghany Road. He was released on an appearance ticket for Hanover Town Court.
POLAND - Danielle Schimek, 21, of Cherry Creek was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument on May 31. At 9 p.m. deputies stopped Schimek's vehicle on Route 394 after receiving a complaint of erratic driving and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released to a family member with appearance tickets for Poland Town Court.
NORTH HARMONY - Kenneth V. Shearer III, 18, of Mayville was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol and having an open container in a motor vehicle on June 1. At 1:51 a.m. deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 394 for a traffic stop and found an open container of alcohol in the vehicle belonging to Shearer. He was released on an appearance ticket for North Harmony Town Court.
SUNSET BAY - Stephen H. Gawronski, 24, of Dunkirk, Sarah M. Audi, 21, of Fredonia and Joshua C. Lee, 22, of Fredonia were all charged with having an open container on June 1. Deputies were on patrol in Sunset Bay at 4:50 p.m. and noticed the three individuals with open containers on public property. All were issued appearance tickets for Hanover Town Court.
ELLERY - Brian W. Adams, 43, of Billings, Mont. was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to use turn signal on June 2. Deputies observed Adams' vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Route 430 exit ramp and Bemus-Ellery Road and fail to use a turn signal while turning onto Bemus-Ellery Road at 2:02 a.m. Deputies stopped Adams' vehicle and found him to be intoxicated. He was arraigned in Ellery Town Court where he was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash or $3,000 property bail.
Jamestown Police Department
Rebecca A. Johnson, 22, of Jamestown was placed under arrest Sunday. Police responded to 133 Stowe St. at 1:30 a.m. for the report of a fight. Johnson was found to have a warrant for failing to appear to court on previous charges. She was transported to the City Jail where she was held pending arraignment.
Lisa K. Gilbert, 56, of Jamestown was charged under an arrest warrant Sunday. Gilbert was placed under arrest after she had a probation violation warrant out of Jamestown City Court. Officers found Gilbert and another female arguing outside a local establishment.
Matthew S. Jones, 26, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment Sunday. At 1:50 a.m. police responded to the Bullfrog Hotel for the report of a fight. Jones had allegedly punched and kicked the bartender. He was sent to the City Jail and later released on bail.
Jason S. Smith, 43, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt Sunday. At 5:18 a.m. police responded to 235 Buffalo St. for the report of a domestic dispute. Smith had violated an order of protection that a victim of the residence had against him. He was sent to the city jail and held pending arraignment. During the same incident, Marie E. Smith, 40, had struck a male victim and scratched his eye during an altercation. She was charged with second-degree harassment, sent to the city jail and held pending arraignment.
