Cyclist hits car in city

Dunkirk police and fire personnel work at the scene of a car-bicycle accident on Saturday morning. According to police, Douglas Manly of Fredonia was traveling north on Main Street. He stopped at the stop sign at East Seventh Street and then turned left onto East Seventh Street. Kayleigh McNiff, 19, of Dunkirk was bicycling north on the sidewalk on the west side. She entered the roadway from the sidewalk as the car was turning and struck the rear of the vehicle. McNiff was taken to the emergency room at Brooks Hospital by fire personnel.
