FORESTVILLE - Emily Markham, Forestville's valedictorian for the graduating class of 2013, is the daughter of Jim and Carol Markham. Markham has made becoming valedictorian of Forestville's Class of 2013 her goal since she entered high school. She is involved in various student activities, including Key Club, Concert Band, Marching Band and the National Honor Society. She enjoys helping others and serving her community in any way that she can. Markham is a member of the Lady Hornets varsity softball team as well as an active member of Chautauqua County 4-H. She enjoys showing her horse, Will, and participating in the Chautauqua County Fair and New York State Fair. She spends her spare time reading, painting, horseback riding, eating, and being with her friends and family. She can't wait to see what opportunities the future will hold. Markham will attend Ohio State University in the fall to major in psychology with a minor in forensic science. One of her favorite quotes describes her future plans: "Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything but ordinary."
