Edwin F. DeJesus, 58, of Wilmington NC, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at his sisters residence in Fredonia, NY, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle against cancer. Born in Rio Pedras, Puerto Rico on Jan. 10, 1955, he was the son of Felipe and Francisca Rodri-
gues DeJesus. He came to the United States when he was 9 months old. Edwin enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1973-1986. Through the Army, he graduated from the American Preparatory Institute in Kileen, TX. He had a 26-year nursing career, having been employed for 15 years at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington as well as other medical facilities both in Dunkirk and
