CIAO is hosting its annual picnic and meeting at Russell Joy Park (upper pavilion) on July 27 at noon. The picnic is open to members, their guests and anyone interested in learning about CIAO, its activities or who would like to join. The club's purpose is to educate, encourage and promote Italian culture in the community. New members are always welcome. To help promote a family atmosphere, children under the age of 12 are free, so bring your grandchildren and children to an enjoyable day of food and fun.
Members are asked to bring a dish to pass, their own place setting and any drink they would like other than coffee and bottled water. The cost of the picnic is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Reservations are required; contact either Sam Crisanti at 934-2592 or Nance Ortolano at 673-9177 by July 16.
Members are asked to renew membership or join at this time. Membership dues are $10 single, $15 for a couple and $20 for a family. New this year is a raffle of gift baskets and prizes. When members pay for dues, they will be given a ticket to win one of the gift baskets or prizes. Members must be present to win.
Cards with the dates of upcoming events will be available to those interested in joining future activities.
All are welcome to bring their Italian cards and join in a game of Scopa, enjoy music and food, and join in the fun.
