The Chautauqua STEM Education Coalition is a partnership of education, business, economic, and community leaders focused on enhancing STEM education learning opportunities in Chautauqua County.
The Coalition was organized as an initiative of the Chau-tauqua County Chamber of Commerce, the Manufact-urers Association of the Southern Tier and Dream It Do It Western New York.
"The STEM Education Coalition developed out of discussions with schools, local businesses and economic development, recognizing that we must work in partnership to enhance STEM educational opportunities," stated Todd Tran-um, President/CEO of the CCCC, MAST and DIDIWNY. "To help drive this effort forward we identified the need for a Director to lead the Coalition, and to that end we are pleased and proud to have Dr. Beeson join our team. He brings a wealth of experience in the sciences and technology that will benefit our entire region."
"As someone who has spent many summers here in Chautauqua County, I am very excited to relocate permanently to the area," stated Dr. Beeson. "I see enormous opportunity to en-hance STEM learning throughout the area in an effort to meet the workforce needs of the community and to support economic growth. I look forward to working with the Coalition and the community as a whole to advance STEM learning experiences."
