JAMESTOWN - The Fenton History Center in Jamestown, just south of the Washington Street Bridge, is holding its ninth annual "Old Fashion Day" of living history on Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of Fenton Park.
The park surrounds the 1863 Fenton Mansion which is home to Jamestown's local history museum. The Fenton History Center is celebrating its 50-year anniversary this year.
"We like to feature local collections and local old-time hand crafts," said Mike Rohlin, Fenton History Center Board of Trustees president. "One way we can highlight the past 50 years is with a showing of cars from 1963. We are inviting 1963 model car owners to spend the day with us. All they need to do is call the Fenton at 664-6356 to let us know they are coming."

A number of local collections are lined up for the event, but more are welcome. Carriage rides, a children's activity center, appraisals, food and an archaeology project update will also be featured during the event.
The Fenton Museum is open with free admission. For more information call the Fenton History Center at 664-6256.
