Sunshine Deck Build dedication ceremony to be held Tuesday
The Sunshine Deck Build, sponsored by the Circle of Love and Sons of Liberty Motorcycle Club, will hold a blessing and dedication to the memory of Mark W. Speziale by Father Joe Zalacca from Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at 724 Central Ave. in Dunkirk.
Refreshments will follow the ceremony at Katerina's.

Adult Learner Information Day Tuesday at JCC North
Jamestown Community College's North County Center in Dunkirk will host an Adult Learner Informa-tion Day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The event is designed for people who have been out of high school several years and are considering college enrollment this fall or in the future. Information will be available on degree and certificate options, financial aid opportunities, online course offerings and more.

Vendors and antique cars still sought
South Dayton will host a 30th anniversary in honor of the film "The Natural." Vendors and antique cars from prior to the 1940s are being sought for the event which will be held Sept. 7 and Sept. 8 at the South Dayton Village Park. Southern Tier Classic Chevy Club invites new members to join
The Southern Tier Class-ic Chevy Club formed in September 1991 with members from Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties and later included Warren and Erie counties, Pa. The club originally focused on 1955, '56 and '57 Chevy cars and trucks, but has expanded its membership to include later years and makes.
Although some of the cars have been professionally restored, many are re-stored completely by their owners.
The club has maintained an affiliation with worthy causes or foundations geared toward health issues for sick or injured children. For many years now, the club has donated to Shriner's Hospital in Erie, Pa., and most recently added St. Susan's Soup Kitchen in Jamestown.
Anyone interested in becoming a part of the club or wanting more information can join members at 7:30 p.m. the second Tues-day of each month at the Celoron American Legion. The only requirement of belonging to the club is having an interest in older Chevys. For information, call 763-8659 or 763-6963.

Vendors need peddlers license in Brocton
Village of Brocton Mayor David Hazelton reminds residents all vendors going door to door are required to have a peddlers permit issued by the Village Clerk's Office. Mayor Hazelton suggests residents verify the vendors are registered and report any suspicious activity to the Village Clerk's Office at 792-4160, or call Chautauqua County Sheriff Department to report at 363-4232.
Dunkirk Democratic Committee Annual Family Picnic Wednesday
The City of Dunkirk Democratic Committee Annual Family Picnic will be held on Wednesday at the large pavilion at Point Gratiot.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and features a chicken barbecue dinner with all the trimmings for $9 per person.

Sept. 14 at Sinclairville History Fair
The Valley Historical Society in Sinclairville will hold its second annual Outhouse Race in conjunction with the Sinclairville History Fair on Sept. 14.
Organizers are looking for persons willing to put together a racing team and build an outhouse to race in this year's event. Last year's Outhouse Race drew the largest crowd of the day at the History Fair and everyone involved had a great time.
