IRVING Alberta A. Donnelly, 94, of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation passed away Sunday, Au-gust 11, 2013 at the Absolut of Dunkirk, NY.
She was born Nov. 3, 1918 on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, the daughter of the late Albert and Nettie (Parker) Kennedy.
Mrs. Donnelly worked as the Senior Job Coordinator for the Seneca Nation for 15 years and had worked at Gowanda Electronics and as a hairdresser.
She was a member of the Wolf Clan, the Native Elders and the New Hope Baptist Church in Collins, NY. She was a descendant of General Ely S. Parker.
Mrs. Donnelly is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard Donnelly; 2 sons, Darwin John of Cattaraugus Indian Reservation and Ronald John of Onieda, NY; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 sons, Gerald and Dale John; a brother, Harold Parker; and 4 sisters Edna Parker, Doris Seneca, Dorothy Kennedy and Adlaid Ray.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 105 East Main Street in Gowanda, NY on Thursday August 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday August 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Rev. Jack Seiler officiating.
Burial will be in Seneca Nation Cemetery.
