BUFFALO - There was another president with a local connection at President Barack Obama's speech at the State University at Buffalo this morning.
Fredonia State University President Virginia Horvath was present for Obama's discussion on the rising cost of education and the high cost of student loans. Joining Horvath was the the new university provost Dr. Terry Brown and Kevin Kearns, associate provost for graduate studies and research.
Students and faculty members of Fredonia State were also on hand for the event.
Obama praised the State University of New York system for its efforts in keeping higher education affordable.
