Adeline H. Dodge, 94, of Elcor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Horseheads, NY, formerly of One Temple Square, Fredonia died Thursday (Aug. 8, 2013) at the home. She was born Oct. 7, 1918 in Fredonia, the daughter of the late Albert
C. and Adeline (Thies) Hart. A homemaker, Mrs. Dodge was a member of Fredonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking cookies, reading, playing rummikub and watching birds and squirrels at the feeder. Survivors include one
son, David (Jill) Dodge of Big Flats, NY; one daughter, Diana (Philip) Rose of Jamestown; five grandchildren, Glenn
(Caren) Dodge, Stacy (Tim) Rowan, Scott (Stephanie) Morehouse, Valerie (Larry) Fierro and Cassandra (Logan) Evanczik; six great-grandchildren Parker and Quinn Dodge, Brody Rowan, Isabel Morehouse, Landon Fierro and Jack Evanczik; and her former son-in-law, John Morehouse. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert C. Dodge, who died in 1973; and one great-grandson, Shane Fierro. Memorial services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Fredonia Baptist Church, corner of Church and Temple streets. Pastor Donald Howard will officiate. There will be no
calling hours. Burial Portland Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fredonia Baptist Church or Elcor Therapy Department, 48 Colonial Drive, Horseheads, NY 14845. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
