SILVER CREEK - Willow Creek Winery is finishing out its Homegrown Music Fridays concert series with the "2nd Annual Wild Wild Fest" on Friday. An idea put together by Willow Creek Winery and the band Well Worn Boot, the show features other music acts, Lazlo Hollyfeld, Funknut, Honeyspine, Jack Tropht, and The Slyboots Drum Ensemble
Well Worn Boot is a four-piece, performative Rock & Roll act from Fredonia. They are fronted by a flute-playing cowboy and backed by other "Wild West" figures that look like walking, talking American Folklore. Their live show has featured a variety of different secondary characters, elaborate masks and costumes, puppeteering, animatronics, and generally "over-the-top" theatrics.
Well Worn Boot has been described as "John Wayne meets GWAR," however they prefer to liken their show to "a guy with no hands putting on a fireworks display."
"Wild Wild Fest" is on Friday at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10, and include camping and parking. There will be food from Desperados Barbecue & Catering, wine, beer, and wine slushies available for purchase. Disclaimer: headlining act Well Worn Boot is meant for a mature audience.
