The Fredonia-Dunkirk-Silver Creek girls high school swim team put together a strong effort in knocking off Franklinville, 66-31, Thursday in CCAA Division 1 girls high school swimming.
The victory was capped by Riley Drummond setting a Dunkirk High School record in the 200-yard individual medley. The winning time was 2:24.53, which broke the previous record from 1982. Drummond also won the 100 freestyle at :58.58.
Deidra Osula was a double winner for Fredonia-Dunkirk-Silver Creek. She won the 200 freestyle (2:15.36) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.52).
Seventh grader Grave Mroczka competed in her first varsity meet and won the 100 backstroke at 1:12.90. Also, Mikayla Polowy won the 500 freestyle at 6:27.33.
