The Maple Grove duo of Patrick Crossley and Brandon Griener helped lift the Red Dragons (5-1, 3-0) to a 2-1 victory over Fredonia (2-3, 1-2) on Wednesday in CCAA West boys high school soccer action.
At the 10:05 mark, Crossley scored the opening goal off a feed from Griener.
The two hooked up again later as Griener was credited with the goal and Crossley had the assist at the 68:10 mark.

With 41 seconds left in the game, the Hillbillies got on the board as Jon Saeli fed Matt Sheridan to avoid the shutout.
"It was a really fun game to watch," Fredonia coach Brett Gould said. "There were plenty of momentum changes. As the game built towards end, you could feel things shift. We are heading in the right direction. We are very pleased."
Kyle Richardson was the winning goalie with six saves while his counterpart, Morghon Thompson, made five saves in a losing effort.
The Hillbillies host Chautauqua Lake on Monday.
