Pictured are mallard ducks with the white domestic goose residents in Silver Creek call "the sheriff" near the Firemen's Club on Jackson Street. According to nearby resident Deborah Adams, the white goose was dropped off about nine years ago and has migrated back every spring. She said although the goose was very aggressive and territorial in early years, it no longer harasses visitors to the club. Resident Kurt Lindstrom said they call the female goose, "the sheriff," because she will make the wild ducks follow in a line behind her and will honk at any that get out of line. "She rules the roost," he said.
