No less celebrated than the jumping frog of Calaveras County, the infamously trained and notoriously messy Puck the Pony will make his "racing" debut at the annual Northern Chautauqua Catholic School's spaghetti dinner Saturday.
Only 400 spot plots will be sold and are selling quickly. Spot plots are $20 each and can be bought by calling NCCS at 366-0630. Any spots still available will be sold the day of. There are prizes totaling $2,000 that will be given away if this little star pony deposits a puck in your lucky plot of pony land. At stake is a trip for 17 students to historic Gettysburg to mark the milestone of completing their studies and moving on to high school.
Come and cheer Puck the Pony on from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Church Hall. The spaghetti dinner will take place inside the parish hall. In addition to a delicious dinner, an Italian bakeshop, theme baskets, 50/50 and more will be featured. For the kids, a bounce house, face painting, pony rides and games will be available. Dinner tickets will be available at the door and are $7 for adults and $4 for children.
