Laura Strawser and James Blasdell were united in marriage on June 22, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Sheridan United Methodist Church in a double ring ceremony. The Rev. Cliff Cliver of Dunkirk officiated the service. Music was provided by Virginia Miller, soloist and pianist, of Dunkirk; and Joe Osborne, soloist, of Panama.
The bride is the daughter of James and Kathy Strawser of Sheridan. The groom is the son of Steve and Vicki Blasdell of South Dayton.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an ivory satin A-line halter dress with champagne and embroidered applique accents and sash and a cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of purple and white daisies and hydrangeas.

The bride was attended by maid of honor Jessica Blasdell of Fredonia, cousin of the groom and friend of the bride; and bridesmaids Roberta Strawser of Rochester, cousin of the bride; and Lisa Hryvniak of Rochester, cousin of the bride. The ladies wore short, strapless charmeuse dresses with ruched waists the color of wysteria.
Joel Blasdell of Silver Creek, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Strawser of Orchard Park, brother of the bride; and Andrew Blasdell of South Dayton, brother of the groom. Ring bearers were Everett and Gavin LeBarron of Silver Creek, friends of the bride and groom.
A reception at the Dunkirk Moose Club followed the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Fredonia High School and of Jamestown Community College. She is employed as a teacher at Lakeshore Family Center.
The groom is a graduate of Forestville High School. He is employed as a carpenter at Gypsum Systems.
The couple honeymooned in Lake George and returned to their home in Forestville.
