Joan Gostomski Sleeman of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on Sept. 27, 2013. Born May 22, 1930 in Dun-kirk and graduated from Dunkirk HS. Worked at Bell Telephone many years as an operator then as a supervisor.
Relocated to Clearwater, FL in 1969 continuing to work for Bell and later at the senior citizen center in Pinellas Park then the tourist industry. Relocated in 1994 to Scottsdale, AZ, where she led a very active life. A board member of her condo complex, volunteered Scottsdale Civic Center. Loved gardening and traveling. Preceded in death by her husband Ray Sleeman, parents Edna and Frank Gostomski, brothers Herman, Daniel and Leo Gostomski and sisters Ann Kroll, Florence Sullivan, Dorothy Stelmack and Vic-toria Apthrope. She is survived by her children, John (Phyllis) Conway, Jeffery (Judy) Conway, Cheryl (Robert) Woodwell. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Shawn (Chairty) Conway, Jennifer (Matthew) Eger, Tara Con-way, Catherine Woodwell and Aaron Woodwell and six great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at a later date in Dunkirk.
