St. Columban's on the Lake residents and staff bid a fond farewell to two of their valued employees. Honored at the party were Dietary Supervisor Elmar Hutzenlaub, who is relocating to Florida; and James Signs, who is leaving to attend college in Florida as well. Together they have served the residents of the Home for over five years. They will be missed.
The featured event at the party was a performance by St. Columban's Songbirds Choir, made up of residents and volunteers. The songs reflected what life will be like in sunny Florida and the audience laughed along while a "Christmas in Florida" skit was performed by members of the choir.
The St. Columban's Songbirds travel to area venues to entertain other seniors and will perform this month at the North Collins and Angola senior centers. The choir is always looking for additional venues to add to their calendar.
