SALERNO, Italy Antoinette Crispo, beloved sister of Gioconda Pucciarelli and Teresa Donisi, died unexpectedly on October 24, 2013. She was born on December 2, 1926 to the late Enrico and Anna (Fortunato) Ferraro. She was 86 years old.
Antoinette enjoyed her extended family in Italy and those from Western New York. She welcomed and hosted many nieces, nephews, and their families in her home over the last several years. Antoinette taught the fine art of homemade pasta making and baking to many of the family members who came to visit. She was very creative and artistic. A very religious woman, Antoinette prayed the rosary each day and watched daily Mass on TV. She enjoyed singing the hymns during the Mass. She was a very friendly and social person who loved her family very much. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Gioconda (Fortunato) Pucciarelli and Teresa (Paolo) Donisi of Dunkirk, NY, as well as her niece and caregiver, Anna Teresa Ferraro. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews from Italy and Western New York.
In addition to her parents, Antoinette was predeceased by her brother, Antonio Ferraro; her first husband, Franco Colonese; and her second husband, Alfonso Crispo.
Private funeral services will be held in Italy at the convenience of the family.
