The Orchesis Dance Company proudly presents "Orchesis Unplugged" on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. in Mason Hall 1080 at SUNY Fredonia. The annual show will feature many talented SUNY Fredonia dancers and choreographers performing various genres of dance including modern, jazz, and tap.
Orchesis, a student-run dance organization, allows members to fulfill themselves through dance by facilitating creative and imaginative works, working collaboratively with student, and guest choreographers while strengthening their talents. The company was founded in 1967 by Carol Prevet, a former professor of dance at SUNY Fredonia and continues to be one of the largest constituted, and highly recognized organizations on campus nearly 40 years later.
Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased prior to the performance through the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office located in the Williams Center, as well as at the performance. Attendees are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance and all campus and community members are welcomed to attend.
