Resident allegedly fires cannon at neighbor
KIANTONE - A 52-year-old man has been charged after an incident involving a cannon.
According to the Chautauqua County Sher-iff's Office, neighbors of Brian Malta of Prosser Hill Road said Malta had been firing a Civil War cannon directly at their home at 11 a.m. Wednesday. An arrest warrant and search warrant were issued and Malta was charged with three counts of second-degree menacing and three counts of second-degree harassment. Deputies searched the property and seized the alleged cannon.
Malta was arraigned in North Harmony Town Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
Daniel Ayala-Valentin, 23, of North Ermine Street was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and violating a noise ordinance Nov. 6.
Tara Seneca, 39, of Adams Street, Silver Creek, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and having inadequate headlights on Saturday.
Javar Battle, 34, of Deer Street was charged Sunday with second-degree harassment.
Shannon Roche, 28, of Central Avenue was charged with petit larceny Sunday.
Orlando Rodriguez, 51, of North Main Street was charged with following too closely on Monday.
According to police, around 3 p.m., Pamela Czarniak, 53, of Temple Street, Fredonia, was sitting at the intersection of South Main Street and Lake Shore Drive East, waiting for the traffic signal to turn green. Rodriguez then rear-ended Czarniak's vehicle. Rodriguez admitted fault and was cited.
Michael Ostler, 29, of Lake Shore Drive West was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and having an unregistered motor vehicle Monday.
Dawn McCormick, 43, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Tuesday.

SALAMANCA - John Santiago, 46, of Killbuck was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant Nov. 1. He was wanted for criminal mischief out of the town of Brant. Santiago was placed into custody and turned over to the Erie County Sheriff's Office and is to appear in Brant Town Court.

CHAUTAUQUA - Jer-emiah J. Russin, 18, of Mayville was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to signal turn on Sunday.
Deputies saw Russin allegedly fail to make a turn onto Beaujean Road from Route 394. During the traffic stop, Russin and a passenger, Nicole R. Wlodarek, 21, of Jamestown were both allegedly in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and smoking pipes. Both were released on appearance tickets for Chautauqua Town Court.
