Over 115 Cub Scouts from all over Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties attended a Firemuster held in Brocton during fire prevention week. Scouts practiced skills, played games, explored fire equipment and had fun. Winners in an essay contest, "Fire Prevention and Me" were: first place, Tyler Bouquin from Cassadaga pack 219, second place, Calvin Hilliker from Cassadaga pack 219 and third place Justin Powell from Fredonia pack 267. The first place winner received a $50 savings bond; second place a $30 campership, and third place a $20 campership. Camperships are for scout camp this summer.
