On November 14, 2013, Dean Michael Sanderson of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of East Main Road, Fredonia, New York, passed away at Harmon Hospital in Las Vegas after a lengthy illness.
Born on May 4, 1944 to Charles and Hildegarde Sanderson, Mr. Sanderson graduated from Fredonia High School, attended SUNY at Fredonia and served with the United States Army. He and his wife, the former Christine Bartkowiak of Dunkirk, New York, moved to Las Vegas from Irving, New York, in 1975 with their infant daughter Molly Rae.
Mr. Sanderson and his wife of 44 years both worked at their own business, a medical transcription service. Dean loved living in Las Vegas, the excitement and 24-hour days, before his health failed him.
Dean is survived by his wife, Christine Alice (Bartkowiak) of Dunkirk, New York, daughter Molly Rae Haiduck, son Kevin (Candice) Sanderson, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Cheryl Mathew Berardi of White Plains, New York and Nancy Sanderson of Deerfield Beach, Florida. He is survived by his grandchildren Kathryn Rose and Daniel Arron Haiduck. He is predeceased by both of his parents.
Funeral services are private. Donations in lieu of flowers would be appreciated to the American Red Cross.
