Polls are now open for Dunkirk City School District voters on a proposed $3.8 million referendum building project.
Project components for Phase IV of the EXCEL project will entail work at the high school, finish up exterior site work, as well as some interior renovations inside the main building. The major components of the project include an access road through Veterans Field behind the school from Van Miller Way to Marauder Drive, renovations and upgrades to various athletic fields, a new, 23-station computer lab and the relocation of the guidance office more toward the front of the school.
School officials have said previously the project utilizes state aid and does not have an impact on local tax rates. Polls opened at noon and will close at 9 p.m.
