A lake effect snow warning is in effect until 4 p.m. this afternoon. Locations include southern Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. Another 3 to 5 inches of snow is expected in the most persistent lake snows today leading to snowfall totals of 8 to 12 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Visibilities will be down to one quarter mile. Travel will be very difficult at times with snow-covered roads and near zero visibility. This includes Interstate 90 between Sturgeon Point and Brocton.
