The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) is pleased to welcome the Business Education Scholarship Test (BEST) program to its family of scholarship funds. Established in August of this year, the BEST scholarship program aims to develop 21st Century skills in students in northern Chautauqua County, helping to prepare them for life after high school.
The scholarships are awarded by a panel of judges to junior or senior students who have participated in a college or career class at their high school. Participating schools include Brocton, Chautauqua Lake, Dunkirk and Fredonia. The first scholarship test is tentatively scheduled for April 2014 at Brocton Center School.
Contributions to the fund in any amount are encouraged and can be mailed to the NCCF's office at 212 Lake Shore Drive West in Dunkirk 14048.
The NCCF is one of nearly 750 community foundations in the United States today. Founded in 1986, the NCCF is dedicated to improving the community through the promotion of local philanthropy, strategic grantmaking and community leadership.
