The Dunkirk Marauders had a fine showing Saturday at Fredonia State in high school indoor track and field action.
The 4x200-meter relay team set a new school record. The team of Rashad Graham, Jose Morales, Miguel Alicea and Nick Barlett finished the race in 1:39.44. The old record was 1:39.9 which was set in 2011.
Graham was first in the 300 with a time of :38.8 and Barlett took second in the 55 with a time of :6.96. Meanwhile, Morales placed fourth in the 55 as he crossed the finish line in :7.22
In the 4x400 relay, Ethan Francis, Alec Tomaszewski, Ray Tarnowski and Javier Soto placed first with a time of 3:54.2.
Soto placed third in the 3,200 with a time of 10:31.0 while Francis was fifth in the 1,000 at 2:51.3. Tomazewski added a sixth-place finish to his day with a time of 2:52.3 in the 1,000.
For the girls, Calan Pogorzelski placed first in the 600 at 1:48.8 and fifth in the 300 at :47.1. She was also a member of the 4x400 relay team which placed fifth with a time of 4:42.9. The team included Samantha Heminger, Faith Rivera and Emilee Hanlon.
Hanlon was fourth in the 55 at :8.15 while Rivera was fourth in the high jump at 4-feet-6 inches. She was seventh in the 55 hurdles at :10.71 and Heminger was fourth in the triple jump at 29-9.
The Marauders return to action Saturday at Fredonia State in the relay meet.
