Sounding a lot like Christmas

Pictured is Bruce Ritenburg, who celebrated his 100th birthday in October with Boy Scouts from Fredonia Troop 267 when they caroled at the Chautauqua County Home. For many years, the troop has heralded Christmas to all of the residents at the Chautauqua County Home. The tradition continued this year. On a very cold, snowy, windy and wintery night, 20 brave scouts, leaders and parents met to sing their hearts out for the residents. As they slowly made their way singing throughout all the floors, they were met with many smiles as the residents came out to see what was the matter. Ritenburg, received the full length version of the 12 Days of Christmas. To complete the tradition, all of the carolers enjoyed homemade Christmas cookies back at the Fredonia American Legion Post 59 with the cubs.
