Gary L. Sutter Sr., 58, of King Road, Forestville, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Buffalo General Hospital, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Silver Creek, on January 6, 1955, the son of the late William and Beverly (Doxiter) Sutter.
He attended Silver Creek Central School and owned and operated Gary Sutter Trucking in Forest-ville for 40 years. Mr. Sutter was currently Vice
President of the Western New York Truckers Association and was an active member with Hanover Center Fire Department, North County Fire Police,
the Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club and the Buffalo/Gowanda Train Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding
motorcycle. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Gary Sutter Jr. of Dunkirk and Donald Sutter of Stockton; and three sisters,Cindy (Chris) Park, Sandra (Phil) Mahle, both of Forestville, Diane (Jim) Andrews, of Erie, Pa.; and two brothers, Roger (Sheila) Sutter of Stockton, Alan (Donna) Sutter of Forestville; and three stepsisters, Angel (Ron) Lutgen of Sherman, Laurie Gallivan and Amy McCoy; and a step-brother, Danny (Kelly) Olmstead, all of Silver Creek. Also surviving is his girlfriend, Sue Wilcox of Forestville, who was by his side the whole time; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and three aunts. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step-
mother, Mary Olmstead Sutter, and by a stepbrother, Donny Olmstead. Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main St., Forestville, on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., from where Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Pollock, pastor of Gage Chapel Community Church, officiating. Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Smith Mills Cemetery,
town of Hanover.
