Mary Ann Patti, 54, of Buffalo, formerly of Dunkirk, died Sunday morning (Dec. 29, 2013) at Buffalo General Hospital. She was born Aug. 6,
1959 in Dunkirk, the daughter of Dolores G. (Greco) Patti of Dunkirk and the late Anthony T. Patti. She graduated from Dunkirk High School, Class of 1976. Mary Ann moved to Buffalo in the late 1970s, where she earned a bachelor's degree and masters in political science from Buffalo State. She subsequently worked for the Buffalo mayor's office until illness forced her to resign. Besides her mother, survivors include two brothers, David J. Patti of Los Angeles, Calif., and William J. (Karen) Patti of Fredonia; and one nephew, Elliot Patti. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph Zalacca will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
