The Brocton Central School Honor Society has given back to the community and surrounding area with service projects since the beginning of the school year. They started in September with making a $150 donation to the Brad Anderson/ Marmaduke Statue Fund. The funds were raised by placing change collection canisters in some of the local businesses in town. The Honor Society would like to thank the businesses that allowed the canisters to be placed in their establishments. Next, the group worked with the third grade classrooms in the school to collect boxes of items for the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue in Westfield. In November, Memorial Bows were sold for Hospice of Chautauqua County. The students sold 93 bows, raising $505 for Hospice. The bows were placed on the tree in front of the Brocton Village Hall. For a December service project, members sold Holiday Beanie Babies. The membership raised $300 to be donated to the March of Dimes.
