The local Chadwick Bay Chapter of the NYS Women Inc. has created a scholarship fund at the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation for non-traditional female students.
Women in northern Chautauqua County who have returned or are currently enrolled in college are encouraged to apply. Requirements include completion of one semester of college with a GPA of 2.5 or above and an essay outlining her educational goals. An application is available by contacting NCCF or at one of the many local colleges in the area.
This opportunity follows the group's mission "To build powerful women personally, professionally and politically" and its vision "To make a difference in the lives of working women".
The NCCF was incorporated in 1986 as a tax-exempt charitable organization. Since its establishment, the NCCF has distributed more than $9.1 million in the community through its various grant programs. It is an organization inherently committed to enriching the northern Chautauqua community and encouraging local philanthropy.
