Rose S. (Sykos) Kennedy, 92, of Fredonia, formerly of Easton, Pa., died Friday afternoon (Jan. 3, 2014) at home.
She was born July 1, 1921 in Nockamixon, Pa., the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Prodednik) Sykos.
A homemaker, Mrs. Kennedy especially loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (John) Bankosh of Fredonia and Rosemary (the late Wayne) Mulitsch of Laguna Hills, Calif.; four grandchildren, John (Melinda) Bankosh III, Christine (Michael) Pucci, Melinda (Chris) Mulitsch-Reynolds and Douglas Mulitsch; 10 great grandchildren, John IV and Mikayla Bankosh; Samantha, Michael Joe, Nicholas, Adrianna and Francesca Pucci; Jaden, Kai and Kalia Mulitsch-Reynolds; a brother, Michael (Kieko) Sykos of Texas; a granddaughter-in-law Lindsay Bankosh and her infant son, Orion Ebling; and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Kennedy; three brothers; and three sisters; and a grandson, Nicholas Bankosh.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
