GOWANDA - Brian K. Frontuto, 56, of Allen Street, Gowanda, died Monday, February 3, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Dunkirk on March 16, 1957, the son of Robert Frontuto, of Forestville and the late Frances (Clark) Frontuto.
He worked as a plumber and maintenance man for Liberatore Plumbing, Blasdell, for 2 years and he had previously worked for Guarcello's Inc., Silver Creek.
Mr. Frontuto was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving, besides his father, are his wife Mary (Homan) Frontuto, of Gowanda, whom he married May 16, 1998, in Forestville; a son, Russell (Kelly) Frontuto, of Luxemburg, WI; two stepdaughters, Melanie Bartholomew, of North Tonawanda and Rebecca (Bartholomew) Schneider, of Buffalo; son-in-law Joseph Winslow and brother-in-law Brad Homan, both of Gowanda; and sisters-in-law Susan Davidhazy of Rochester and Barb Dunmire of Springville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Besides his mother, he was predeceased by 2 brothers, Joseph Frontuto and Robert Frontuto, Jr.; and by a sister, Doris Mead.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, Town of Hanover.
